Mercury transit
2016-05-09
This was a rare day. A Mercury transit that lasted over 7 hours, starting at about 1 pm. We rigged both the Lunt H-alpha telescope and the William Optics tube with white-light-filter to catch as much as possible. The goal for the day was to make a movie of the transit using captures every 5 minute from the H-alpha. It was a perfect warm day with crystal clear sky and everything went as smooth as we had hoped for. 🙂
